"I've done so much in my first four months as a Bryn Mawrter. What could possibly be next?"

"In my first semester at Bryn Mawr, I've sung Puccini arias for the Italian Department's weekly soirees, presented my hula hands and Tahitian hips at the Asian Students' Association's annual culture show, and performed as a soprano soloist in Orff's Carmina Burana with the Haverford-Bryn Mawr Chorale and Chamber Orchestra. There's so much happening in the Bryn Mawr and Tri-Co communities that it's sometimes hard to make a choice."

Proposed major: biology
Proposed minor: music

Note: Colette Young participated in the Tri-College Summer Institute, a weeklong orientation sponsored by Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Swarthmore Colleges for first-year students who are interested in exploring issues of multicultural identity and leadership. It was a great introduction to college life, she says, "blending all three colleges' sizes, shapes, colors and brilliant energy into friendships."
