Vanessa Wilson

Vanessa Wilson is the Chief Financial Officer of Golden Seeds LLC, a Director of the Golden Seeds Institute, and an active angel investor with Golden Seeds since 2007.  Her private portfolio includes technology, publishing, media, business services, and consumer products companies.  Vanessa also has significant public markets and M&A experience from 19 years on Wall Street as a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Credit Suisse First Boston.  As an equity research analyst specializing in life insurance, she lead- or co-managed 15 initial public offerings.  Ms. Wilson was ranked on the Institutional Investor “All-American Research Team” for 10 years and in The Wall Street Journal’s “All Star Analysts’ Survey” for 7 years.  She sits on the public board of Protective Life Corporation, the non-profit board of Futures and Options, and the advisory boards of privately held Renovata and Inergy Group.  Ms. Wilson holds a B.A. in economics and biology from Amherst College and an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business.

 

Carol A. Curley, CFA

Carol is currently a Managing Director with Golden Seeds, LLC, and has responsibility for the Golden Seeds Knowledge Institute, which houses the training activities. Carol has had significant experience in the financial services industry and was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Westwood Management Corporation, a registered investment advisor. Carol has also been a Senior Consultant to Berkshire Capital Corporation, an investment banking boutique, a Director in the Investment Banking Group of Prudential-Bache Capital Funding and a Second Vice President in the Investment Banking Group of Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. Inc. Carol has served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance in the Graduate School of Management at The University of Dallas in Texas and at the Lubin Graduate School of Business at Pace University in NY. Carol holds a BA in Economics from Wellesley College, an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
