Assistant/Associate Director for Student Support & Belonging

Bryn Mawr College is accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate Director for Student Support and Belonging.

THE POSITION

Playing a key role on The Impact Center for Community, Equity, and Understanding team, the Assistant/Associate Director for Student Support & Belonging provides ongoing outreach and programming to help support the success, retention, wellness, and sense of belonging of first-generation, limited-income (FGLI) students – those who are the first in their families to attend a four-year college in the U.S. and/or who come from limited-income households.

Additionally, this position will bring an awareness and expertise around the unique needs of undocumented and DACAmented students, as well as those students from families of mixed immigration status, providing programming and services to help support their success and sense of belonging at Bryn Mawr College.

 

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and at least four years’ experience working with students in a higher education setting, or any combination of experience, education or training which provides the necessary skills, abilities, and knowledge for success in this position.  Should have strong group facilitation skills and a demonstrated commitment to and an understanding of DEI, anti-racism, intersectional identities, and the educational, social, and legal challenges faced by undocumented, DACAmented, and mixed immigration status students.  Should have an understanding of the unique challenges facing these students and experience implementing support strategies that enhance success and a sense of belonging for students.  The ideal candidate will have experience with educational program development, including program planning, implementation, and assessment.

Must have the ability to consistently work some evenings and weekends for programming outside of regular business hours.
