Visting Assistant Professor
The Department of Computer Science at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, three-year position in Computer Science starting August 2013. Annual renewal of the position is required and contingent upon a successful review of teaching evaluations. The title is Visiting Assistant Professor at the rank of a Lecturer. A full-time load is 3/2 with full participation in all department activities. A Ph.D. in hand by the start of the position is required.
S/he will be expected to teach courses at all levels of the undergraduate program in Computer Science, from Intro and Data Structures through core systems and theory courses to advanced topics in their areas of research. Along with scholarly contributions to research, the ideal candidate will have evidence of interest and expertise in Computer Science pedagogy and relevant teaching experiences.

Interim Faculty Position - Foundation Curriculum
The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) invites applications for a full-time, one year position in foundation practice to begin January 2014. A renewal of the position for up to two additional years is available pending a successful review of teaching evaluations. The ideal candidate will provide current social work practice knowledge and skills to further enrich the capacity of the GSSWSR to provide its foundation practice curriculum to social work students. It is expected that the candidate will engage a full array of faculty roles and responsibilities consistent with employment as an interim faculty member at Bryn Mawr College.
Candidates must possess an MSS/MSW degree and have extensive (5+ years) post-Masters broad-based practice experience in direct practice particularly at the community and policy levels of practice. While not required, the ideal candidate will possess a PhD in social work or a DSW degree. Additionally, prior teaching experience, ideally 5+ years, in social work education is preferred. Candidates must have the skills required to teach Foundation Practice, as well as the foundation courses in Community Assessment and Multiculturalism and Diversity. Successful applicants will have the knowledge and experience to support teaching advanced practice electives in areas such as group treatment and social work practice in health and mental health systems. Prior experience in supervising and/or advising graduate social work students is helpful, as candidates may be asked to take on an advising role in the MSS program.
