In the Spring of 2015, Archaeology Ph.D. candidate Maggie Beeler, along with peers from the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University, co-organized an important and timely conference to address the devastation of cultural heritage sites in the Eastern Mediterranean. Now, the Site Preservation Program, a division of the Archaeological Institute of America, has published the proceedings of the conference, The Future of the Past: From Amphipolis to Mosul, New Approaches to Cultural Heritage Preservation in the Eastern Mediterranean., as a free download, part of its Heritage, Conservation, and Archaeology series.
