Postdoctoral Fellow in Quantum Materials
Bryn Mawr College has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Quantum Materials.
The Position:
The Research and Education Center for Quantum Materials and Sensing at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow in quantum materials starting June 1, 2025. The initial appointment for this position is for one year and may be renewed for one additional year. This position is contingent on grant funding.
The successful applicant will work closely with Professor Xuemei Cheng and other members of the Center to fabricate multilayer films with sputtering techniques, pattern samples with micro- and nano-fabrication methods, and investigate samples with structural characterizations, magnetometry measurements, magneto-transport measurements, synchrotron x-ray based spectroscopy and imaging for nanomaterials, and other magnetic imaging methods.
Qualifications:
- Completing a PhD in Physics with solid knowledge of condensed matter physics, quantum mechanics, and magnetism by the start date is required.
