Director of Field Education

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Dean of the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, The Director of Field Education provides administrative oversight to the Office of Field Education (OFE) and participates in the overall design, implementation, and assessment of the Field Education component of the social work curriculum.  This position also provides supervision to the Assistant Director of Field Education.

Master’s degree in social work or social sciences required. PA state social work licensure preferred. 5+ years specific experience with Field Education delivery systems in schools of social work.  Supervisory and management experience.  Knowledge of CSWE Accreditation Standards and CSWE processes.  Counseling skills, crisis intervention skills and ability to tolerate ambiguity.  Strong communication, organizational and decision-making skills.  Must be able to manage virtual meetings as needed. Utilize data base management programs to manage students in field education. Microsoft Office Suite.
