The Bryn Mawr Athletics Department is pleased to announce the new name for our Owl athletics mascot. Voting on the name occurred during May and June in three rounds: round one included 2023-24 academic year scholar-athletes, round two included the entire 2023-24 academic year undergraduate student body, and the third round consisted of staff and faculty of the Bryn Mawr Athletics Department.
With more than 530 individual votes, “Olympia” (aka: “Olly” for short) is the winning name! Olympia will be spending the next academic year preparing for their campus debut. Follow along on Instagram at @brynmawrcollege and @bmcathletics.
