Hosted by the Career & Civic Engagement Center, Bryn Mawr's Civic Engagement Summer of Service is a funded opportunity for a small cohort of students to live, serve, and learn together in the local community during a 10-week summer internship experience.
Selected students will spend 32-35 hours each week as interns at a service or activism organization in the Bryn Mawr/Philadelphia region. Additional time will be devoted to service learning activities, ongoing training, and reflection. Summer of Service participants live together on campus and build community through participation in reflection, learning, and team-building activities with one another.
Selected students will receive a $3000 stipend/living allowance. In addition, the Career & Civic Engagement Center will support participants with paid on-campus housing, a summer meal plan, and transportation expenses for the duration of the program.
