African Art Repatriation: The Digital Benin Project
Dr. Anne Luther (PI, Digital Benin) will introduce the project; and researcher Godfrey Ekhator (The Institute for Benin Studies) will share insights from fieldwork conducted in Benin City, highlighting the role of oral history in preserving and contextualizing historical narratives of the Benin Kingdom. The conversation offers a unique perspective on the intersection of digital heritage and local knowledge & on interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers, developers, designers and traditional knowledge holders.
