Even with shrinking space, political pressure, and direct closure for many traditional independent media outlets, specialized media projects, such as the ones dedicated to scientific or environmental journalism, have recently been booming in Russia. Angelina Davydova will discuss the rise of and recent developments in environmental journalism in Russia, including its various forms, from specialized online media to eco-blogging and Telegram channels. She will also speak about the challenges of environmental and climate communication in Russia, analyzing recent developments and trends.
