Building Consent Culture on Campus
What is the state of consent on campus right now? Does everyone on campus have a clear understanding of what consent is and how to practice it? Is it considered normal to ask before touching someone? What does hookup culture look like? How do our identities and power dynamics impact our consent practice? In this workshop, we will work together to identify where the campus is currently at with regard to consent culture and then we will identify where we want to be. We will imagine a world in which bodily autonomy is respected as sacred. What would this world look like? How can we move our community toward that consent culture we all deserve?
