Nationally recognized speaker and author Don Martin, Ph.D. will give a virtual talk to Tri-Co students about the application process for graduate and professional school. One of the many graduate and professional school-related programs brought to you by the Career & Civic Engagement Center. 

Dr. Martin will address important facts to consider when applying; dispel common myths; tips to avoid common mistakes; how to navigate graduate school fairs; ways to get noticed in the application process; and more!

About Dr. Don Martin, Ph.D.

  • Served as admissions dean and/or dean of students at Teachers College at Columbia University, the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago, the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, and Wheaton College, IL.
  • Wrote and published Road Map for Graduate Study: A Guide for Prospective Graduate Students, and an International Supplement for Road Map.
  • Former weekly columnist for U.S. News & World Report.
  • Currently writes education articles for SPAN magazine in India.
  • Has made grad school presentations on more than 50 college/university campuses in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Has coached more than 250 graduate school applicants with a 99% acceptance rate.
