A Conversation About Curatorial Work with Dr. Michelle Al-Ferzly
Michelle Al-Ferzly is an art historian specializing in Islamic and Eastern Mediterranean medieval art. She is the assistant curator of the critically acclaimed exhibition currently on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, "Africa & Byzantium."
Prior to becoming a research associate at the Met, she was the Charles Lang Freer Fellow at the Freer & Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. She has extensive experience working in museums across the U.S. and Canada.
