Join Health Interest Programming (HIP) for a guided discussion with an expert on palliative care Chris Lawton, M.D.

Dr. Lawton earned his undergraduate degree in biochemical sciences at Harvard University and his medical degree from Columbia University. He went on to complete both a residency in Internal Medicine and then a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

He returned to his hometown of Milwaukee as an attending in the Section of Palliative Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. There he saw patients for palliative care needs in the inpatient and outpatient settings and taught medical students, residents and fellows.

In 2018, born out of reflection on the spiritual care needs of his patients, he entered seminary for the Catholic priesthood with the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Divinity from the Catholic University of America and recently completed a training program in hospital chaplaincy.

Either join us in person for free food or participate virtually. Dr. Lawton will be joining us via Zoom.
