DMC with Yesenia (Nia) Hernandez ‘23

Apr 26
2023
7:00pm - 8:00pm
On Campus Event - Park Science, Park 245

For our last DMC come and learn about an improved computational approach to measuring the tightness of molecular knots!

Yesenia (Nia) Hernandez is a graduating senior majoring in Mathematics and Chemistry at Bryn Mawr College. Nia goes by a lot of different titles but her favorite one is Scientist. As a double major, Nia is a computational chemist, an analytical chemist, an algebraist, and a topologist. You can often find Nia in the obscure parts of Park Science solving random scientific problems or fighting computer programs. If you're interested in the relationship between math and chemistry and their possible applications, I would like to encourage attending one of their talks (they are always happy to talk about their research!).
