Gender Expansive Clinical Competency
The discussion aims to open up a dialogue with our peers and to provide tools to create gender inclusive environments going forward as practitioners.
The workshop aims to teach gender expansive clinical competency as it pertains to working with people with different bodies, different gender expression, and people of trans experience. This is especially pertinent to working with coworkers, students, and peers that attendees may interact with in their future practice. We will discuss the difference and overlap between gender, sexual orientation, and sexual health. Participants will be introduced to the ways in which they may interact with gender diverse people as future medical professionals.
