Il malessere di Boccaccio, a talk by Sherry Roush

Referencing Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben's research on acedia, Prof. Roush seeks to clarify one way that Boccaccio understood the dangers of a lack of mental wellbeing in medieval Italy, but also the strategies that he embraced in order to confront his inner demons with the goal of the talk to prompt discussion on the merits or drawbacks of such strategies today.

Professor Sherry Roush is a Liberal Arts Professor of Italian at Penn State University.
