12:00pm - 1:00pm
On Campus Event - Canaday Library, Rare Book Room

As a coda to the fall exhibition, Private Lives of Old Books, join Director of Special Collections Eric Pumroy and graduate curatorial fellow Mallory Fitzpatrick as they discuss their collaboration with the Material Evidence in Incunabula (MEI) Project sponsored by the British Library and the Consortium of European Research Libraries.

The MEI Project is designed to gather data on the ownership and uses of books printed during the late 15th century (known as Incunabula) by recording inscriptions, owner’s marks, marginal notes and inscriptions found in the books. Examples from Bryn Mawr’s stellar collection of 15th century books will be out for inspection.
