Network for New Music Performs 'Spotlight on Philadelphia'
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., the Department of Music at Haverford College presents Spotlight on Philadelphia by Network for New Music.
Connecting Philadelphia’s great community of music schools, they to start their 38th season by weaving a thread through Settlement, Haverford, Curtis, Temple, and UPenn. Headlining the program is UPenn graduate, Professor Emeritus at Temple, and Philadelphia native Richard Brodhead with two new works. Also featured is guitarist and Curtis graduate Jiji, UPenn faculty Tyshawn Sorey’s beautiful momento to James Primosch, and music by Brian Raphael Nabors.
This concert will be held in the Michael Jaharis Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
