Praxis Information Session
Join us on Oct. 25 from 4-5 p.m. in the Student Life and Wellness Center (The Well) to learn about the Praxis program.
Praxis is an experiential curricular program that offers students opportunities to gain hands-on experience while earning academic credit. Tiffany Stahl, associate director of Praxis, will share information about the Praxis Independent Study, Fieldwork Seminars, and Praxis II courses offered for the Spring 2024 semester. Courses will connect topics in museum studies, sociology & social justice, math and science education, writing, and linguistic anthropology with fieldwork. Students will also have the chance to meet special guest Chiara Benetollo, literary scholar and program development director with the Petey Greene Program. Chiara will share information and requirements regarding tutoring opportunities serving incarcerated individuals at SCI Phoenix in Collegeville, PA.
This fieldwork opportunity will serve as a Praxis placement option for Professor David Karen's Social Justice Praxis Fieldwork Seminar.
