Rhetorical Equity in Research Language Practices

Apr 21
2022
4:15pm - 5:30pm
Off Campus Event, Swarthmore College, Trotter Tent

Please join faculty, staff, and students from the Tri-Co to explore issues of linguistic equity in conducting and publishing research. We will discuss Rhetorical Equity in Research Language Practices over hors d'oeuvres, 4:15-5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 21 at Trotter Tent (back-up location in Singer Hall). There will be opportunities to share experiences and brainstorm steps to promote greater linguistic and rhetorical diversity in our increasingly multilingual academic communities.

This will be the final meeting of the 2021-2022 Empowering the Liberal Arts with Linguistic Equity and Linguistic Justice reading/discussion group series, which is organized by the Tri-Co Multilingual Specialists and sponsored by a Mellon Seed Grant. Interested participants can register through this form or by emailing Bryn Mawr's Multilingual Writing Specialist, Vanessa Petroj. Please register if you can join any or all of the April 21 meeting and/or would like to receive the optional reading.

Looking forward to this and future collaborations,
