Senior Thesis Composition Presented by Emily Hsiang HC ’23
On Sunday, April 16 at 3 p.m., the Department of Music at Haverford College presents Emily Hsiang HC ’23, composer, whose senior thesis composition Franny: A Musical will be performed by Ting Ting Wong (piano), Aviana Rivera ("Franny" - soprano), Joseph Correale ("Lane" - baritenor). Based on J.D. Sallinger’s short story, “Franny” from Franny and Zooey (1961), this new musical theater composition follows the changing romantic relationship of Franny and Lane over one tumultuous weekend visit.
This concert will be held at Haverford College in the Michael Jaharis Recital Hall, and is free and open to the public. It will also be presented by livestream at this link: hav.to/evj
