Stop by the Campus Center to hear South Indian Classical music featuring Professor Amanda Weidman on violin and visiting artist Umayalpuram Mali on mridangam.
This event will be an informal performance of South Indian classical (Carnatic) music on violin and mridangam, featuring Anthropology professor Amanda Weidman, a longtime student of South Indian violin, and visiting professional artist Umayalpuram, master of the mridangam, a double-headed South Indian drum.
