Teach-In: Fostering Inclusive Spaces for STEM Students Living w Mental Illness
In this interactive teach-in discussion, participants will work together to identify ways in which STEM instructors can foster inclusive spaces for students living with mental illness.
This discussion will look at pedagogical approaches, course policies, signaling, and advocacy. Through this discussion, we hope to create opportunities for students to share concerns and ideas, and develop a culture of understanding and support for neurodiverse communities within STEM.
Facilitated by Marianela Luna-Torrado '24, Chris Murphy (Computer Science), and Polly O'Keefe (Counseling Services).
Bryn Mawr College welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
