Teach-In: Life on Campus—The FGLI Experience
This two-part teach-in starts with a presentation on the first generation, low-income (FGLI) identity or identities open to the whole community, and finishing with a conversation led by students for students only on the complex and varying narratives of being a FGLI student. Part of the CDA community will speak on some difficulties students may face while navigating college and their FGLI identity as well as provide ways other students, faculty, and staff can be allies. The rest of the session will be dedicated to creating a space for students to explore and/or share part of their stories.
Bryn Mawr College welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
