Tri-Co Philly Student Information Sessions, Spring 2024

Tri-Co Philly Students

Students are invited to learn about the Spring 2024 Tri-Co Philly Program, an initiative connecting students to the city. This semester-long program offers students a host of activities in Philadelphia. Students enroll in two urban-focused, experiential courses taught in Philadelphia and participate in monthly Philadelphia-based activities as a group. Students who will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors in Spring 2024 are eligible to apply.

(program students choose 2 of 3 courses, others can take a single course)

  • Literature in and of Philadelphia, 1682-1865  ENGL B307
  • University City: Race, Power and Politics in Philadelphia PEAC H327
  • History & Politics of Punishment: The School to Prison Pipeline POLS 20E

Applying to the Tri-Co Philly Program 

1. Interested students must attend a Philly Program Student Information Session. There is one scheduled at each campus in October/November and one online.

  • Haverford: Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023 | 7-8 p.m. | Union  Building 111
  • Bryn Mawr: Monday, Oct. 30, 2023 | 7-8 p.m. | Dalton  Hall 002
  • Swarthmore: Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023 | 7-8 p.m. | Trotter Hall, Room 201
  • Online: Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023 | 7-8 p.m. | Register

2. Following attendance at a Tri-Co Philly Program Student Information Session, students can apply for the Tri-Co Philly Program. Students unable to attend an information session must meet with the Tri-Co Philly Program director, Calista Cleary (ccleary@haverford.edu or 610-795-1576), prior to applying.

3. The Tri-Co Philly Program application is due Friday, Nov. 3 by 11:59 p.m. Note: this is before the start of all Tri-Co pre-registrations periods.
