Sandra, her husband Samuel, and their son Daniel live a secluded life in a remote town in the French Alps. When Samuel is found dead, the police question if he was murdered or committed suicide and Sandra becomes the main suspect. What follows is an investigation into the circumstances of Samuel's death and an unsettling journey into the depths of Sandra and Samuel's conflicted relationship. This screening is part of the Women in Trouble French and Francophone Film Festival, organized by Bryn Mawr Film Studies and supported by the Albertine Cinematheque, a program of Albertine Foundation & Villa Albertine, with support from the Centre National du Cinema et de l’image animée, and the Fonds Culturel Franco-Américain/SACEM. The screening is presented in partnership with the Department of French and Francophone Studies at Haverford College. The event is free to BiCo community members.
