Fellowship: QuEST Fellowship in Seattle, WA

April 26, 2019

Apply by Friday, May 3 for priority consideration

Bryn Mawr seniors and recent alums — Are you fluent in Spanish and interested in working at Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Seattle next year? Apply to QuEST (Quaker Experiential Service & Training)! There are two opportunities to work at NWIRP through the QuEST program: as the Violence Against Women Act Unit Intake Coordinator and as the General Intake Coordinator. NOTE: Disclosure of citizenship or immigration status is NOT required for application to this fellowship.

In both roles, the QuEST Fellow conducts intakes for potential clients, contributing to NWIRP's mission to defend and advance the rights of immigrants through direct legal services. As a QuEST Fellow, you'd be a member of a cohort of six young adults living together as they serve full-time for a year at Seattle nonprofits, August 2019 to August 2020. QuEST Fellows share a house in the University District, putting social justice values into practice through intentional community and simple living. The program provides room and board; transportation and out-of-pocket health care costs; a small monthly stipend; a completion award; and regular training, mentorship, and opportunities for reflection and spiritual growth. They also cover student loan interest payments during the program year.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with priority given to those received by May 3. Learn more on their website.
