Puentes de Salud is seeking Spanish-speaking volunteers to serve as interns in their new Bridges to the Arts program for 3 and 4 year olds. Transportation is provided!
See more information from their flyer below.
Description
We seek highly motivated individuals from all backgrounds to serve as interns in our after-school program for children ages 3-4. Puentes de Salud serves the rapidly growing Latino immigrant community of South Philadelphia through an integrated approach to health, education, and wellness. Our education branch, Puentes Hacia el Futuro, is predicated upon the well-evidenced fact that education is inextricably tied to the health of individuals and communities. Our mission is to holistically support the education and development of our community’s children to foster positive long-term health outcomes. Interns will have the unparalleled opportunity to work and to learn at the intersection of social justice, migration, and urban education in a community-based, bilingual environment. Interns will be able to build close relationships with a small group of students and work closely as part of our team. Interns may use this work to fulfill academic field work, internship, or independent study requirements.
