Are you passionate about public health? Do you want to learn more about international collaboration in epidemic recovery? Join in this public talk! On Tuesday, February 9, at 5:30 p.m., Professor Claudena Skran of Lawrence University will give a lecture on the impact of the Ebola epidemic on the children of Sierra Leone. The talk will take place at the Free Library of Philadelphia (Parkway Central Library, 1901 Vine St., Rm. 108; accessible by SEPTA Regional Rail).
Professor Skran will share some of the first-hand accounts she has heard from children who lost homes, parents, and months of schooling while enduring quarantines and hospitalizations during the Ebola epidemic.
