Asst. Professor of Psychology Thomas Le Receives Researcher of the Year Award
Assistant Professor of Psychology Thomas Le recently received the Researcher of the Year award from the Society for the Psychology of Men and Masculinities of the American Psychological Association. Presented annually, this award is given to an individual with an outstanding publication on the topic of men and masculinity.
In addition to his research, Le's taken a serious interest in mentoring others at every step in his journey. While a doctoral student in counseling psychology at UMD, Le advised the team of researchers that published a study that shows how "trans young adults of color use creativity to define their identities, build community, survive discrimination, and cultivate joy while imagining and pursuing a better world," reports the University of Maryland College of Education.
Le began at Bryn Mawr in the fall of 2023 and also serves as an affiliate faculty member in Asian American Studies.
