The following letter was sent by President Cassidy to the Bryn Mawr Community on August 25, 2016.
Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
I write to share the news that Pelema Morrice, Chief Enrollment Officer, is leaving Bryn Mawr to become Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at the University of Missouri. His last day at the College will be August 31.
Pelema came to Bryn Mawr in 2014 after serving for two years as Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management at the University of Nebraska-Omaha (UNO).
During his time at Bryn Mawr, Pelema created an enrollment analytics group to enhance student recruitment efforts; established a position dedicated to graduate admissions; advanced the College’s commitment to access; oversaw the team that increased the number of undergraduate applications to record levels; and led the search for the Dean of the Undergraduate College.
The position at Missouri affords Pelema the opportunity to return to a large, public research institution of postsecondary education like UNO and his alma mater, the University of Michigan. We thank Pelema and wish him well in his new role at Mizzou.
With best wishes,
Kim Cassidy
President
