Elena Swartz ’12 Named Luce Scholar

Elena Swartz ’12 has been named a 2017 Luce Scholar.

From among 161 outstanding candidates nominated by 68 colleges and universities across the United States, 18 Luce Scholars have been chosen through an intense three-month-long selection process.

The Luce Scholars are students who have thrived in their pursuit of learning and growth with sheer determination and the crucial support of faculty mentors.

At Bryn Mawr, Swartz was a Growth and Structure of Cities Major and a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow. She is now studying policy at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.
