Students and alums from two classes in The Bi-Co Environmental Studies Department attended the Mid-Atlantic American Fisheries Society’s annual meeting in Wilmington, Del., last month.
Amy Tse ’24, and Uma McGuire ’23 gave presentations at the event, and Natalie Goeler-Slough, (HC '24), Annemarie Wood (HC ’23), and Maddy Blaha '22 took part in a poster session.
The students have all been enrolled in ENVS 307: Introduction to Fisheries Science or ENVS 313: Fish & Community, both taught at Haverford by Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Talia Young.
The Bi-Co Environmental Studies department is dedicated to training the next generation of environmental scholars, activists, and educators for the world that they will inherit. Students have the opportunity to pursue a major in Environmental Studies through a curricular collaboration between Bryn Mawr and Haverford or pursue a minor in Environmental Studies to complement another major.
