March 12, 2018
Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust '68 kicked off Women’s History Month with an address to students at Philadelphia High School for Girls, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Higher education, Faust told students, will bring higher-paying jobs and healthier and happier lives, but also a chance to explore and see themselves in a larger context. Her experience at Bryn Mawr, she said, taught her women could overcome obstacles and lead.
Faust, who is an acclaimed author and historian of the Civil War and the American South, will be stepping down as Harvard's president on June 30.
