The Bryn Mawr College Staff Association recently recognized Ellie Esmond, Lee Brown, and Jason Driscoll, with the Staff Association Staff Award (SASA).
For three years now, the SASA has been given to those individuals who quietly work behind the scenes and whose contributions help to better the community. Nominated by their peers and other members of the campus community, the following comments accompanied their nominations:
“[Lee] is responsible for paying all of us and she does it with a smile. She arguably has one of the heaviest workloads on campus but she is always willing to take a moment and answer a question… She is so very conscientious, and is always thinking ahead.”
“Jason constantly goes above and beyond his work- he volunteers to help with LITS projects, is always willing and eager to help other staff and assist anyone who needs a second pair of hands. I’m honored to work closely with Jason, and his help and support has been invaluable to myself and many of our colleagues… His sunny disposition makes even challenging days better.”
“Ellie Esmond is one of the most supportive and hardworking people I know. She is responsible for coordinating a host of activities and opportunities presented to students, staff and faculty from the community, through which we can be more engaged. To me, she represents the core essence of what it means to be civically engaged. I value her as a co-worker, as a community liaison, and as a friend.”
Congratulations to Lee, Jason, and Ellie!
