Student Employment Office
The Student Employment Office provides on-campus work opportunities for students in many departments across the College. All students are eligible to work a campus job. GENERAL INFORMATION
All students are permitted but not required to work on campus. First year students are only permitted to work in Dining Services. Students with extenuating circumstances can apply for a Dining Services waiver that will permit them to work in other areas of the College. Waivers are not guaranteed and must be approved by Dining Services.
Hours - Students are permitted to work up to 17.5 hours per week. Students can work up to 40 hours per week during the weeks classes are not in session. This includes fall break, winter break and spring break. Students can hold more than one job but the total number of weekly hours worked cannot exceed 17.5 hours.
New Hire Forms - Once you have accepted a job, you must complete new hire paperwork. You may not start working until your new hire paperwork is completed and I9 documents are shown to the Human Resources/Student Employment staff. Per federal guidelines, we must see I9 documents in person. Copies, pictures and scans cannot be accepted.

Pay Rates
Level 1: Most student jobs are level 1.
Level 2: Higher level of responsibility such as supervision of large groups of students, in-depth knowledge of a specific field, completed related coursework. Examples of level 2 jobs include: Undergraduate TAs, Research Assistants, Lifeguards, Student Dining Hall Managers.
Pay rates start at $14.00 per hour for level 1 jobs and $15.00 per hour for level 2 jobs. Students must work a minimum of 125 hours in the same job to receive an increase the following academic year.
