Darlyne Bailey, Professor and Dean Emeritus at the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research of Bryn Mawr College, has been selected as a Social Work Pioneer by the National Association of Social Workers Foundation.
The Social Work Pioneer® Program was created to honor members of the social work profession who have contributed to the evolution and enrichment of the profession. Social Work Pioneers are nominated and selected by colleagues for their significant and innovative contributions to the social work profession and as role models for future generations of social workers.
An article about the NASW Foundation’s announcement of its nine new inductees into the Pioneers® program was published in the October 2017 issue of the NASW News. NASW writes, “As first a practitioner and then an academic, [Darlyne Bailey] has consistently fought for social justice and for those whose voices are not heard. Her career focused on macro practice to further ensure that the profession effectively breaks down the dated structures that have negatively impacted at-risk communities.”
Congratulations, Darlyne, on this accomplishment!
