Student Summer Housing on Campus

Summer student housing will be available on campus for Bryn Mawr students in 2025 who will be working on campus.  Because of extensive wiring projects in two residence halls, on-campus housing will be very limited.  Haverford College is offering apartments this summer to Bryn Mawr students.  If interested, please send an email to roomres@brynmawr.edu no later than Thursday 17 April (do not contact Haverford directly as we have streamlined the application process for the apartments).  Please note a SEPTA pass will be issued to BMC students living at HC this summer.

Please read below to make sure you are eligible to live on campus this summer. 

1 – Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in a Bryn Mawr College summer program or working for a Bryn Mawr College department, office or program are eligible to live on campus this summer.  This includes those receiving fellowships or internships from Bryn Mawr College.  Eligibility does not guarantee housing.

2 – Graduated seniors may be allowed to live on campus this summer if they have an on-campus job, depending on availability, but not guaranteed.  

3 – Haverford students may be allowed to live at Bryn Mawr this summer if they are doing research or working at Bryn Mawr, depending on availability, but not guaranteed.

All agreements will be reviewed by the Housing Committee to confirm eligibility.  If demand for on-campus housing exceeds supply, a lottery will be held.     

Summer Room and Board agreements are available in our office (lower level of the Campus Center past the ATM machine) and due back no later than Friday 18 April.  

Summer Residence Halls

The summer residence halls for 2025 will be Erdman (for short-term stays no later than 28 June) and Denbigh. Because of the shortage of on campus air/conditioned space, all rooms in Denbigh will be used to capacity. Should demand exceed supply, a lottery will be held no later than 28 April 2025.  

Summer housing begins when the residence halls close for the academic year at 12noon on Sunday 18 May.  If you sign up for housing to begin that date, plan to move between 9 a.m. and Noon on Sunday May 18 May 2025. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this date and time.  

Meals

Your room and board plan includes 10 meals/week, your choice. The summer dining location will be Erdman; other weeks meals will be available in UnCommon Grounds.  Specifics about meals and times will be posted later in spring.

Library

The Bryn Mawr Libraries will be open with a summer schedule. Hours will be listed here: https://www.brynmawr.edu/inside/offices-services/library-information-technology-services/hours

Mailroom

The Mailroom will be open all summer. If you will be a summer resident on campus, please let the Mailroom staff know so that your mailbox can be kept open this summer.

Athletic Facilities

The Bern Schwartz complex will be open this summer.  Specific days and times will be announced later in spring.

Bookshop

The Bookshop will be open all summer with limited hours. Specific days and times will be announced later in spring

Health and Wellness Center/Counseling Services

The Health & Wellness Center will be closed for in-person services starting on Friday, 05/16/25 at 5pm. During the summer, Bryn Mawr College students have several options for free and confidential care.

In a crisis: 

• In a mental health crisis, please call 610-526-7778 to speak to a counselor. 

• In a medical crisis on campus, call 610-526-7911 for Campus Safety to activate emergency medical services. 

For all other health needs:

• For medical issues, call 610-517-4921.

• To speak with a counselor, please use TELUS Health from anywhere in the world.

Transportation

There are no transportation services in the summer. The Blue Bus will resume when classes start in fall.
