Black Alumnae/i Fund: Honor Roll 2023-2024
Established in 2008, after a highly successful Black Alumnae/i Conference, and revitalized in 2020, the Black Alumnae/i Fund supports students who share a cultural background or personally identify with the African Diaspora in their personal and professional growth. This Fund is made possible thanks to the commitment of our alumnae/i, parents, volunteers, and friends who not only support the Black Alumnae/i Fund through their giving but also advocate for this effort.
It is our pleasure to present the honor roll of donors and acknowledge their commitment to sustain this Fund. Between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024, nearly 200 donors made gifts to the Black Alumnae/i Fund. Through their collective efforts, over $200,000 was raised to provide summer internship opportunities and mini-grants for students who identify as part of the African Diaspora. This year, for the first time, Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research students were eligible to participate.
